Since its inception the Food Trailer has traveled across our state feeding countless IDOC Facilities, Federal and County Facilities. This has been a great boost to Benevolent Funds that have been given to Officers for a variety of purposes, like assisting in interim funds for food/bills while waiting on work related LOA pay, or a family member death, a house fire, you name it.
The Food Trailer has also served as a much needed boost to moral during our stressful days and seasons, and a sense of feeling appreciated long enough to to grab a meal take a breath and go back behind the wall. We have also serviced other State FOP Corrections Lodges as a show of Fraternalism during their challenging times like Louisville Metro County Corrections, and we serviced Officers in New York City for the 911 memorial! In addition to Fallen Officer Fund Raisers, community festivals, jeep runs, parties… any invite we can take to raise funds and awareness to our great profession, we will do!
