Become an Associate Member to support Correctional Officers/law enforcement in Illinois, stay abreast of timely information affecting Corrections/law enforcement. Receive an annual membership card and auto decal, and as a new member a T shirt. To be granted Associate membership, all applicants must have an eligible sponsor member* or agree to undergo a background check Background checks are $16, payable by the applicant and remitted at the time of application. Please submit the background check form with your application to expedite processing. All information is held in the strictest confidence.
* An eligible sponsor is an IL FOP Corrections Lodge 263 member (full-time, Corrections law enforcement professional) who recommends the applicant for Associate membership.

State law limits eligibility to full-time, sworn law enforcement officers that are current in the FOP as full members. All Associate Members will be eligible to apply for an exclusive ILFOP Visa Credit Card offered through ISPFCU, and other discounts avaliable. Your membership packet will include this information. Associate Members may purchase adhesive vehicle medallions (membership is verified upon purchase on the merchandise shop) Associate membership is open to anyone! (Sponsorship or background check required)

*If you do not have a member sponsor the background check form will need to be submitted by mail with the fee.
The FOP President and/or Secretary will verify sponsorship/backgrounds and approve or deny applications accordingly. There is no appeal process for membership denial.

The mission of the Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Corrections Lodge 263, shall be to provide its members with the opportunity to support and interact and be a part of and have a voice as its brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement of all entities. We will encourage and promote friendships, participate in charity, fraternal, civic and legislative events for betterment and positive promotion of its members and their needs as well as the community.
