                            Lodge President

                            Lodge President James Simmons
                            Started his career in corrections in September of 1994 at Stateville CC. Simmons was a member of the writ team and also spent most of his time working in the West cellhouse (B west) until his transfer to Logan CC in October of 1998. While at Logan, Simmons joined the institutional Tactical unit. May 2004 Simmons became a Parole Agent and began working the Sex Offender Supervision Unit until March 2009 where he transferred back to the West Grand Parole office. Currently he supervises about 127 parolees whose majority of crimes are gun possession, armed violence and X class drug offenses.

                            James joined the F.O.P in 1994 at Stateville and has remained active in the organization throughout his Corrections career. He has been an institutional trustee, chief trustee and currently is in his second term as Lodge president. Simmons sits on the State F.O.P. Legislative committee along with the Lodge presidents of Chicago Police, Illinois State Police, Cook County Sheriff and F.O.P. Labor Council and both the State Lodge President and Vice President. All legislative initiatives are discussed that have direct influence on all law enforcement in the State of Illinois and lobbied at the Statehouse in Springfield.

                            James was elected to 2nd Vice President of the Illinois State Lodge in August of 2010 at the Rock Island State Conference. James' platform was to ensure every member whatever size of Lodge has an equal voice and vote in this organization. James has additionally been appointed to the Board of Illinois Support of Homicide Survivors.

                            President Simmons resides in Oswego with his wife Melissa and his two beautiful children.

                            _Vice President Gerald Raines
                            Vice President Gerald Raines started his career in corrections in September 1978 at Stateville Correctional Center. Raines was employed at Stateville for 22 years. During his 22 years of service at Stateville he worked a wide variety of assignments, from tower duty to cell house to writ team. He also was on the Tactical Unit for 20 years of the 22.

                            In 2000 he transferred to Jacksonville Correctional Center where he worked for 5 more years, retiring from state service December 2005.Gerald became a member of FOP Lodge 263 in 1993. He was voted Sergeant at Arms in 1999. He held the title of Sergeant at Arms until 2001 when he took a short break. In 2003 he was voted back into the position and held it until 2008 when he was appointed to the position of Second Vice President. In 2009 he was moved up to Vice President.

                            Vice President Gerald Raines lives in Hillsboro, Illinois with his wife Dorothy.

                            Treasurer Greg Johnson
                            I began my corrections career with the Florida Dept. of Corrections at Tomoka C.I. as a Correctional Officer in 1988 and was promoted to Sergeant in 1993. While working full time, I received my Associate's Degree in General Education from Daytona Beach Community College and subsequently graduated from the Univ. of Central Florida (Go Knights) with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 1998. I was in the graduate program for Public Administration at UCF until joining the IL Dept. of Corrections in 2000 as a Parole Agent. I have been assigned to the Dist. 1 Juvenile Office since 2002.

                            I joined Lodge 263 in 2001 and  have held positions as a Legislative Liaison, District Trustee, Lodge Trustee, Chairman of Trustees and since 2005 Lodge Treasurer. I represented the Lodge as a Delegate to the State Conference in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 and the National Conference in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

                            My wife, Bonnie, and I have been married since 1989 and are the proud parents of two daughters, age 9 and 11. We reside in the Joliet area along with our Golden Retriever, Butterscotch, and our Russian Gray, Marko.

                            Secretary Jose Prado 
                            I began my career in law enforcement in 1988, when I graduated from the Professional Career Center with a Diploma in Private Security and Investigations.  I graduated With Honors and became the Class Valedictorian. I worked in the private sector for about 10 years.  While working as a volunteer for the Chicago Police Department, I served as an adult adviser for the Law Enforcement Explorer Program.  IN 1998, I joined the Illinois Department of Corrections and was assigned to the Joliet Correctional Center as a Correctional Officer. I joined the F.O.P. shortly thereafter. 

                            In 1999, I joined the Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees (IAHSE.) When Joliet C.C. was closed, I was transferred to the Stateville Correctional Center and am still there. I have served as an Institutional Trustee, District 1 Trustee, Chief Trustee and Sgt. at Arms for the I.D.O.C Lodge #263. I have joined several community and professional organizations.  I’m the Woshipful Master for Ashby B. Carter #138 Masonic Lodge. I think that I could be an asset because of my experience and willingness to move forward and make a difference.

                            _Sgt-at Arms Domingo Martinez
                            Sgt-at Arms Domingo Martinez  was born 04/15/1962 in Atlantic City New Jersey, American-born of Puerto Rican decent. Son of D. Martinez Sr. and Maria T. Martinez. Graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI 1991. Joined the U. S. Navy in April of 1992 served in active duty till November of 1995. Joined the U. S. Naval reserve in February of 1996. Proudly serving in the U.S. Naval reserve. Employed with the Illinois Department of Corrections since 1998. In 2000 was assigned to a Law Enforcement Protection Security Unit (LEPSU) attached to Rota, Spain. While in this unit received extensive police training. Served in active duty in September 2001 till July of 2003 in Rota, Spain. While serving active duty during Operation Desert Storm performed the duties of policing the base against terrorist and foreign and domestic threats. Master-At-Arms (MA) in the U.S. Naval Reserves since February of 2006. The MA training consists of police training including interrogation, arrest procedures, court procedures, watch standards etc. Responsible for the physical training of the Great Lakes Security Unit at Great Lakes Naval Base. Maintain data base records of all unit members of their physical qualifications.

                            Domingo joined the Fraternal Order Of Police Lodge 263 in 2005. In 2006 performed the duties of election committee for the FOP elections. Presently an active member of FOP Lodge 263.Presently assigned as a Senior Agent to the West Grand Parole Office.



                            District #1 Trustee

                            District #1 Trustee Kevin R. Wilbur
                            Trustee Kevin R. Wilbur began his career in Law Enforcement in 1983 as a part time police officer with Robbins Police Department.  After serving 3 years, Trustee Wilbur began his career with the Chicago Housing Authority Police Department in 1986 and held the positions of Field Sergeant and Watch Commander. After 10 years of service, the Chicago Housing Police Department disbanded. 

                            In August 2000, Trustee Wilbur began his career with the Illinois Department of Corrections as a Adult Parole Agent. Trustee Wilbur was assigned to the Halsted Parole Office as a Day Reporting and Sex Offender Agent until his promotion to Supervisor in 2005.  Trustee Wilbur is the PM Supervisor for the Back of the Yards/Midtown Parole Office. 

                            After graduating high school in 1976 from Quincy High School, Trustee Wilbur joined the US Army as an Armored Crewman. Trustee Wilbur served on active duty for 11 years. Trustee Wilbur joined the US Army reserve and was assigned as an Instructor with 5034th USARF School as a NCO Leadership Instructor and later as a Military Police Instructor until his retirement in 2000 at the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7). 

                            Trustee Wilbur is married to Patrice who works for the University of Illinois. They are parents to two Daughters Jasmine 19 and Dominique 17.  Jasmine is studying early childhood education  and Dominique is  studying Political Science/Pre-Law.  They also have a 5 month old Lahso Apso Poodle named Buddy who we recently added to the family.  Trustee Wilbur serves his community as a Fire & Police Commissioner for the Village of Matteson, an active member of the American Legion Post 474, Rehfeld-Meyer in Matteson and an active member for the Premier Boys State program.

                            Trustee Kevin R. Wilbur is a proud member of the FOP since 1986  and proud to serve in his current post as 1st District Trustee IDOC Lodge 263.

                            District #3 Trustee

                            District #3 Trustee Chris McClure
                            I began working in corrections in November of 1990 I started at Logan C. C. as an officer where I honed my skills finding contraband. I have been chief trustee at Logan, Sgt-at-arms, and am now district three trustee. I was in the military, serving in the U.S. army in the military police core as a K-9 officer. I was in Germany for two tours as a customs inspector k-9 working with the German police and customs agents to combat black market. In customs we also cleared U.S. service members returning from Germany. I went through flexi, at the federal service training center, and went through counter terrorism anti hostage at the institution of public safely in Georgia.

                            While working in corrections, I received the training and P.T.I. training to become an arson investigator receiving my title from the state of Illinois. In 2009 I received officer of the year at Logan C.C.  I live in Rochester, Illinois with my wife Misti and our 2 kids.

                            Chaplain

                            Lodge Chaplain Clyde Nash
                            Rev. Clyde Nash is first and foremost a Christian who has served in many capacities.  He is the pastor of Kingdom Building MB Church.  A Bible instructor and was an instructor at Stateville C.C. for the staff bible class from 1998-2001.  He received his Bachelor of Theology in May 2002, and was also the Chaplain for Chicago Baptist Institute. 

                            Chaplin Nash became an officer in 1973 and then in 1975 Correctional Therapy (LTA).  Enjoying his work, he decided to move to another level, and  became a correctional Lieutenant the year of 1978.  Lieutenant Nash became the assistant Tact Commander (orange crush) at Stateville C.C. and was appointed Captain in 1980 and ran the segregation unit for 12 years.  He went on to become a (SORT), special operations response team commander in the northern region in 1991. 

                            He became a member of the FOP Corrections Lodge #263 in 1993.  Captain Nash was employed by Stateville C.C. for 29 years and is now retired.  He currently is employed as CSO for the Will County sheriff Department in Joliet, IL. 

                            Rev. Nash also volunteers with the HEART organization in Bolingbrook, IL, for first time offenders.  He mentors many youths in his church and community.  Rev. Nash is married to Mychelle, is a father of three children and three grandchildren.  In 2009 the late William (Wild Bill) Kerfin suggested that Rev. Nash become the Chaplin for Lodge #263 and he was voted in and accepted as the official lodge Chaplin.
